    Assisted Living facilities.
Who does the inspections and how can I find the ratings on them? I can’t find anything on the internet at all.

I know DADs does the inspections, but they don’t return calls and there is no way on their website to check on ratings for assisted living facilities.
I urgently need to get my dad into one in our area, but can’t find out if any of them are good.

      Yes there is…

This is the website where families can compare nursing homes and assisted livings by county or city or by facility name:

Melissa, Our deepest apologies for this over-site. It was not intentional, please know that. We always list the ‘source’ of information but some how, it didn’t get added this time, I’m checking into that now to find out why. If you will refer back to that article you will find we have corrected this problem and have added a link to your site. Thank you for providing such a wonderful, and much needed service and again, our apologies.

Here are a couple of articles I think you’ll find most useful in answering your questions: http://www.elderoptionsoftexas.com/article_medicaid_eligibility.htm AND http://www.elderoptionsoftexas.com/profile_south_texas_asset_protection.htm
